Privacy policy

How Catch collects, uses, shares, protects, and responds to requests about personal data.

Effective 10 August 2026

Who operates Catch

Catch is operated by Torana ("Catch", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy applies when you use catchdates.com, a Catch application, an organizer or event page, a host tool, or our support channels.

Data we collect

We collect information you provide, information created through your use of Catch, technical information needed to operate and secure the service, and factual organizer or event information from public sources.

  • Account and profile information, including name, contact details, age confirmation, city, photos, prompts, preferences, reviews, messages, support requests, reports, and claim requests.
  • Event and interaction information, including registrations, waitlists, attendance, check-in, private catches, mutual matches, blocks, reports, host actions, saved organizers, and aggregate event outcomes.
  • Cross Paths information, including your private global and per-event visibility choices, the event connected to a suggestion or invitation, invitation responses, and safety or eligibility state needed to prevent an unsafe or ineligible introduction.
  • Website and host-lead information, including name, email, city, role, organization, public website or social link, application answers, consent choice, and campaign attribution attached to a submission.
  • Device and reliability information, including app version, operating system, browser, diagnostic events, crash information, security signals, and approximate location. Precise location is used only where a feature needs it and device permission allows it.
  • Public-source listing information, such as organizer names, descriptions, public links, event dates and locations, source provenance, and freshness details. An unclaimed listing is not an endorsement or proof of a commercial relationship.

How we use data

We use data to provide and secure Catch; operate accounts, discovery, attendance, matching, messaging, host, claim, review, and safety features; respond to support, privacy, correction, and takedown requests; prevent fraud and abuse; moderate content; measure reliability and consented usage; communicate about the service; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where consent is required, you may withdraw it through the relevant setting or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing, but it may prevent us from providing a feature that needs the data.

Public and private information

Organizer and event pages, reviews, organizer responses, and content labelled public may be visible to anyone and indexed by search engines. Private catches are not shown to the other person unless interest becomes mutual. Hosts receive operational and aggregate information; they should not receive private dating choices unless a feature clearly says so.

Cross Paths is not a public attendee list. If you separately enable Cross Paths for your account and for a selected event you are attending, Catch may show your public profile and your intention to attend that event to a limited number of compatible, eligible members and may let them send a limited event invitation. You can withdraw future visibility through the relevant controls; accepted plans, safety records, and earlier processing may remain where needed to operate the feature, protect members, or comply with law.

Sharing, cookies, and external services

We may share data with service providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, communications, moderation, maps, search, and security; with an organizer when you request an organizer-operated service; when required by law or needed to protect people; during a business reorganization; or at your direction. We do not sell personal data for money.

External event and ticket links lead to third parties whose policies apply. Non-essential website analytics and marketing tags load only after you accept them. Essential storage may support security, consent, saved organizers, forms, and site operation.

Retention and security

We retain data only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal requirements, safety, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and backup recovery. Public-source listings may remain while accurate and relevant, subject to correction and takedown requests. Account deletion starts the product deletion workflow, but limited records may remain where law, safety, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution requires it.

We use access controls, encryption in transit, environment separation, service authentication, audit records, and monitoring intended to protect data. No system is perfectly secure; contact us promptly if you believe your account or data has been compromised.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request information about our processing, access or a summary of your data, correction, erasure, consent withdrawal, nomination where provided by law, or grievance redressal. You may also request that we correct, claim, or remove an organizer or event listing. We may verify identity and ask for information needed to locate the record.

Send requests to suvrat@catchdates.com. We aim to answer privacy grievances within 90 days and consumer-service complaints within one month where those timelines apply.

Age, transfers, and changes

Catch is for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer dating services to children. Contact us if you believe someone under 18 has provided data.

Providers may process data outside your state or country subject to their contracts and applicable restrictions. We may update this policy as the service or law changes and will post the updated effective date, with additional notice where required.
